The Special Consensus returns in 2017

One of our favorite groups, and a great bunch of guys, will be back on stage in New Richmond in 2017.

Special C won an IBMA award this year, with their song "Fireball" winning in the Instrumental Recorded Performance of the Year category. It was their 3rd IBMA. "Fireball" was recorded on the band's latest CD, "Long I Ride).

They were also nominated for a Grammy for "Best Bluegrass Album"award in 2012 for their CD "Scratch Gravel Road."

The band is made up of Chicago native Greg Cahill,  Rick Faris, Dan Eubanks and relative newcomer Nick Dumas who will be with the band in New Richmond for the first time.

Special Consensus, who are always very popular with the fans and join in the jam sessions in addition to their great shows on stage, will be on our stage for the third time. They'll also take part in "Bluegrass Downtown," a new addition to the festival in 2017 which will see bands perform a free show in downtown New Richmond. More details coming soon.

In addition to the Bluegrass Dowtown show, Special C will be on the main stage on Friday and Saturday (September 2 and 3).
